We Are Home For Christmas

Most people would do anything to be home with family at Christmastime. For Filipinos, home means roots, solidity, and extended family. It’s being together with lolo and lola, mom and dad, titos and titas, cousins, brothers and sisters, childhood neighbors and old friends.

Last year, we found ourselves in Cebu one Christmas. For the first time, we were away from the company of people who are dear to us for the holidays. But we’ve enjoyed it because we’ve experienced that familiar warmth and togetherness from each other and from good people.

This Christmas, after a year of recovering from a great flood, we’re back home celebrating with our extended family. But being away from home that one Christmas reminded us that home is where that familiar happiness and warmth are felt. So to all travelers out there, celebrating Christmas away from their home and family, Merry Christmas, wherever you may be.
